This is Alexi Giannoulias, our newly elected Illinois State Treasurer. His opponent said I shouldn't vote for him because of his alleged mob ties.
Forget that.
If anything, I voted for him because of his alleged mob ties. Say what you want about the mob, they know how to handle money.

I would love to pick Alexi's brain on a few things personally and professionally since I think he and I could relate to a few things since we both were educated in good schools both got degrees and came from good families. But I think what happened is that he needed to shut his mouth on who donates large amounts of money to his campaign or anything he's done for charity events.
