Seriously, she was good

This is Addie. Well, technically it's Addie and me, but I figured most of you would recognize me. Addie is the dog.

I met Addie when I went with my girlfriend Rebecca to visit her family in Texas over Easter. Addie is a relatively new addition to the family, so both Rebecca and I were meeting her for the first time. We learned many things about her, such as:
  • Her favorite toy is a little tire on a rope, which she will slobber all over and then dare you to grab it from her mouth.
  • She is an excellent jumper, especially when attempting to get the tire on a rope.
  • Just when I've calmed her down enough to pet her, she can be riled up again by Rebecca singing Abba songs and excitedly waving her arms. She will then jump some more. (Addie, not Rebecca.)
  • She is easily excitable, especially by snow.
Yes, snow. Texas over Easter weekend = 3 inches of snow. Addie liked to eat it.

Most of my pictures from the weekend are of Addie because she was such a good girl.

Dog is cute. I noticed your glasses too. Where are pictures of you and your girlfriend. I like your shoes. That is all.

You know what, I take it back.

I was very flustered when I wrote the previous response. This is what I was thinking, but was too flabbergasted to say. This is also what I feel everyone else who commented before me SHOULD have said....

Tim,
I did not even know that you still HAD a girlfriend. I wanted to ask you about her whenever I saw you. Since I have only seen you approximately 5 times in my life I didn't have many opportunities. When I was presented with those rare opportunities to ACTUALLY see you, I felt awkward asking about her. I would be thinking, "Are they dating, are they not dating, what is her name? oh, my gosh why don't I know her name? I'm a terrible person....". So I never asked.

But now, you have this fabulous post about your exciting Easter weekend with your girlfriend, Rebecca, whose parents live in Texas with their dog Addie... and what do I discover?

A picture of you and an F'ing DOG!

I must say, I am INCREDIBLY disappointed. I thought that when you were doing your picture a day blog post... MAYBE I would see a picture of your girlfriend, but I didn't count on it.

NOW, you go all the freaking way over to TEXAS with your GIRLFRIEND and her FAMILY and all you post about is the F'ing DOG! A DOG!

Post a REAL picture! One of you and a human being, namely a female, namely YOUR GIRLFRIEND REBECCA.

Seriously Tim. Unacceptable. Absolutely not the kind of thing that I find acceptable at all. The only way that I knew he had a girlfriend was from:

1.) Visiting him in Chicago once
2.) Myspace
3.) Some of the dossier that I pay men to keep on Lauren Sharpe included spill-over information about Tim and his special lady friend.

Get it together. Because that's bad form, sir. Bad form.

Man Tim, you incurred the wrath that is Rowela. I bet you didn't even know shes a regular on your blog, did you? She is, and do you know why? You use less words and more pictures than Scott and I do. And let me tell you... She's not a happy camper. I received an angry phone call about this very subject.

There is only one way to make amends: It is well past time for a Rebecca post.

The masses have spoken.

For the record, Tim, I'm not clamoring to know more about your lady friend. Because I'm aloof and detached from any interest in anyone, qualities any hip person like myself should possess. In fact, I shouldn't even be commenting on your blog, but I'm so apathetic towards your life that I can't be cocked to stretch my pinky over and hold the backspace key down. Damn, I'm awesome.

You know what? I did have a somewhat humorous comment, but then I read the brilliance that is rowela's smackdown and completely forgot what I was going to say because her post is that impressive. Rowela, rock on. And I second Scott's motion: unacceptable. A higher standard has been demanded of you by your faithful readers. Choose wisely your course...

I can't believe it! I kept scrolling down looking for the pictures of you and Rebecca and her family, and ... nothing. Gee, thanks a lot Timmy. I echo everyone else. And did you ever even get Josh's invite for his graduation and ordination? I thought I would hear something... (allyn)
