I bet Mona Lisa hated her portrait.

Seriously, I bet she did.  Everyone hates pictures of themselves.  I bet it was like a school picture to her.  There are probably 100 wallet-sized pictures of her laying around in an old drawer somewhere.

Anyway, I watched Mona Lisa Smile tonight.  And I can honestly say that the best part about it was listening to a 1950's men's glee club perform a cover of They Might Be Giants' "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)".

And I am not making that up.

Allyn - There, I watched a romantic chick flick.  How's that for well-rounded?  I hope you're happy.

Josh - "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" is a song title that uses parentheses.

Tim, I couldn't be more happy!!! So proud, although, I could have warned you that movie was severely lacking. I am so with you on the Lohan side of things, because Duff has no depth. Now for the breaking news, I got to review a to be released movie while here in L.A., called Man of the House starring Tommy Lee Jones and a bunch of cheerleaders. Let me just say, I did laugh out loud multiple times. Can't wait for it to come out and hear your review. In fact, I would LOVE to hear it. (Sorry couldn't help myself.) I'll stop now, really.
Josh, you rock. Isn't this so fun using Tim's blog to talk between the three of us? Har har. What will we do when Tim's attention is taken by a woman of his own?! :)

Tommy Lee Jones and a bunch of cheerleaders? Sounds like a winning combination to me. He's pretty big in the Ryder household. Ever since The Fugitive.

Hey, what in the world are you doing in L.A.? I had no idea you were dropping the whole therapy thing and becoming an actress! That's awesome! I bet you're in wide-eyed awe of the city.

I know(and I hate it)
Just by virtue of the whole deal I feel compelled to hate it. Tim, I can't tell you how pleased I am that this idea of taking over your blog for my own selfish uses has taken off. A whole conversation over your(my) blog. Even Mom is starting to invade. Just keep pumping out the entertainment, I'll keep pumping out the hits. And I'm continually amazed at your prolific attack of this blog.

Timmy, I am here for a family reunion. However, since my family rocks we have already seen three stars, not in the sky. :) We toured the WB lot and walked on the set of a couple tv shows. Then on Friday we are going to the filming of Cold Case. Who is cool? I am. Of course, I do try to look my best, seeing as I could be discovered while here, who knows? I'll keep you posted.
Josh, honestly though, this doesn't just have to be Tim's blog right? ;) I think he will have more readers just because of our cool additions to the site. In fact you could almost rename it...
but alas. Tim really did a good job with that. What I am waiting for next is another random Chicago moment.
Along that vein, here is a random LA moment, driving down the road and two police cars zoom around the corner, jump out of their cars and grab a guy skulking down the street. He had a somewhat punk rocker look to him as he was thrown up against the wall and handcuffed. Wahoo! Now I feel like I am a part of the locals. What's next I ask you?

Let me be the first to say that not all of California is that exciting. Well, unless you like gangfights... There is nothing cool to see up in here in Stockton, nothing to do, and a complete shortage of cool people. But we are thuggin and buggin, or something like that. Yes Tim, I know I'm white...

I agree, the best part of the movie was "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)". Hope Chi-town is well. Nothing witty to say, nothing important to say, not much of anything going on. Only thing exciting, My fam is going to be out of the country for the week. YAY. I will be home alone (thank god for peace and quiet!)

So there I was chatting away with a long lost friend of mine earlier this very day and lo and behold a revelation occured to me. My friend hasn't been lost at all. By no means! I've known where she's been since the day we departed so many many years ago. The home of my birth has been her residence. Well, not the specific home of my birth since no one really lives at the hospital, but whatever. I digress. Allyn, spoke to me of the ways of yonder Tim in the land of Chi-cago. She then proceeded to direct my feet upon the winding path that leads up the plains of these here united states of North America.

I journeyed many a long hour to reach my destined destination only to find myself in a place so stangely familiar it seems as though I must have lived here in a former life if I believed in such ridiculous notions. Yet I must fight such blatantly opposing thoughts as they creep up my spine and into my brain because even if I did live here in a former life, I was probably a toad or chipmunk or something pretty only in the imagination and really gross and dirty in real life. And that sucks.

So anyway, as I wasn't saying...I'm a friend of Allyn...strike that! Allyn is my friend because I allow her the honour of my favour. (adding u's makes stuff look cooler) She said I should check out this here blog (BLOG!) and see the coolness that is you. So I did. (even though I'm generally opposed to blogs) I had nothing better to do anyway.

My final assessment (I said ass) is that you, Lord Tim, are cool in the highest order. But you knew that so why the heck did I bother with this freakin' post anyway? ah...whatever. I gotta go now.

Your most humble in all the world servant,
Zak.
