Can't stop the signal, nerd.

Let's just take a second to consider how far I've fallen to the dark side of geekdom. Last night, I finished rewatching the last couple episodes of Firefly that I obtained through BitTorrent. Then, I reread the three-issue comic book series that connected the TV series with the motion picture. (It's important to note that I had to remove the individual books from their protective bags in which I now keep them.) All this was leading up to the first viewing of my recently purchased DVD copy of Serenity. I watched the movie, the deleted scenes, the outtakes, all of the documentaries, and some of the director's commentary before calling it a night.

When the Chicago ComicCon comes back around, I figure I'll just swing by to make my fall to the dark side complete.

Uhh... I might also be interested. But, you didn't hear it from me. And could you delete these comments? Or maybe have a secret nerd blog so we can maintain our cool exteriors on this one? Because there's some seriously nerdy stuff that warrants discussion in a completely plausibly-deniable environment.

But I have to tell you, I admire your dedication. I felt nerdy because I recognized Mal's pectoral scar in the scene where he's chatting up Inara. But the episodes AND the comics? My Spock ears are off to you sir.

Heck, I might be interested too... work provided. Which means Ro is as well, 'cause I'm dragging her if I go.

Also random as it may be, two days ago Ro and I decided to take on the SuDoku Storm and did quite well. Bought two paperbacks off the magazine racks and we can do the "Easy" ones fairly well. (Note: I've only attempted 2 so far, but completed them pretty easily.)

How dare you, Tara D. You're the one who did a Google image search for "hentai" and rooted through hundreds and hundreds of anime porn stills just to find a pic clean enough to send me. And you claimed this was just an attempt to make fun of me. Mm-hmm. We're totally fighting online now.

I don't have any Hentai, folks. Geez, even regular porn grosses me out, not to mention special interest anime nerd porn. See through the lies, America.

I don't know... no girlfriend... likes comic books... is male. You know it's all adding up. I don't judge you for your Hentai collection Tim. Wasn't it Freud who said that the only unhealthy sex life was not to have one at all?

Don't deny yourself. Just don't be the creepy guy at my college who looks at it in the computer lab on the last computer with the screen tilted toward the wall as much as possible. Don't be that guy.

Dude, I don't even like Hentai... and I'm dating one.

You know, Ro is expressive... but I never suspected that she was literally animated. That's just weird. When you make out do you have to worry about papercuts? Is she not bad, but just drawn that way? Occasionally when she's exasperated does a comically large drop of water appear next to her head? I'm just so curious!
